Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a crucial component of our body’s cell membranes and is necessary for various bodily functions, including the production of hormones, vitamin D, and the digestion of fats. However, when cholesterol levels become imbalanced, it can have adverse effects on health, primarily through the accumulation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, often referred to as “bad” cholesterol.

High levels of LDL cholesterol can lead to the buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries, a condition known as atherosclerosis. Over time, these deposits can narrow and harden the arteries, restricting blood flow. This process can increase the risk of several serious health issues example heart diseases, stroke and so on.
